My Favorite Nature Photographers Online
I love flipping through Instagram, checking out new and “new to me” photogs. However I am not much of a fan of photographer “influencers.” I look for artists who have a unique style, and who don’t appear on @insta-repeat! Honestly, there are so many so called influencers out there but their works all look the same. Landscape photographers are not immune – all beautiful sunsets and sun rises, blue hour, golden hour, slow shutters galore. Adventure photographers too seem to copy one and other. Visit Instagram and follow the most popular landscape photogs. Then try to distinguish who is who in your feed.
No true photographer would not know about this amazing artist! Jim Branandenburg. A National Geographic photographer, Jim pioneered the photo a day (PAD) concept with his chased by the light series.
If you are a wildlife photographer, follow John E Marriott, an ethical wildlife photog and conservationist (no baiting or captive animals). He runs amazing tours and workshops and is an all around good human being.
Twisted Tree. This couple has a very unique creative flair with their photography work. A nice site with tutorials, special filters, a very original gallery. check it out. Twisted Tree Photography
I’ll be adding more links as I find them. But I promise I’ll post only the more original photographers – ones you may not have heard about before, but that are sure to inspire!
