You may remember a while ago Google bought Nik Software and promptly make the tremendous Snapseed App for iPhone and mobile devices FREE~that was a great thing to do!
NOW, they are practically giving away their Nik filters for Lightroom and Photoshop- the suite of filters used to cost around $500.00. Now Google is selling the bundle for $149.00! This includesDfine® 2.0, Viveza® 2, HDR Efex Pro™ 2, Color Efex Pro™ 4 Complete Edition, Silver Efex Pro™ 2, and Sharpener Pro™ 3.0. The new, $149 bundle will not just feature all six plugins, but will work on all supported applications from a single installer: Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, and Apple Aperture.
And it gets better – if you are an existing customer you can get the bundle free. You should have received an email on Monday March 25th, 2013. I did, but it went to my spam folder. So if you’ve bought any Nik filters in the past, check you spam folder for the special offer. If you purchased any individual plugin within the last five years, you get the entire collection for free. If you spent more than $149 on plugins since February 22nd of this year, you’ll be refunded the difference.
Gotta love Google! Google insists that they will continue to support and develop the suite and provide support, and judging by the photography resources on their blog they seem to be sincere! If your at all skeptical or haven’t ever purchased Nik plugins before there is a free trial on their website.
I am so excited about this that I’ll be working on a gallery of images done up with these great plugins!

Hi Alex
How are you?
Thank you for this alert. I did get the email and I have bought Nik software but the email I got says that I need to pay $149 for it. Am I in the wrong spot?

Hey Chris!
If in the past 5 years you bought a Nik plugin, you’ll get the entire bundle for free. You should have an email from them about this. Check your spam folder – that’s where my free offer was.
I got 2 emails – one with the 149.00 offer and an another with the free offer which was in my spam folder. Because I didn’t see the free one, I ended up buying it. Once I saw the free offer, I contacted Nik and they said that the refund would be processed in a few days and that they were really backed up as I can imagine!
