Whenever I”m out in the wilds, I always get a few random shots with my iPhone, just to capture the location for my photo maps. But because I am also an avid iPhone photography nut, I do make a solid effort to take some good shots as well, in case I can transform them into strange;y wonderful art photos!
THE Camera Club ( the women’s camera club that I facilitate) headed out to the “local” ghost town to do some sunsets and night shots.
I shot through several cards on the Nikon D800, and at least once card on the D300 ( the 12-24mm lens is still one of my faves for old building shots). But my main computer died the day after, and all my D800 compatible s0ftware is on there so I am left editing the jpgs on my ipad! Still lots of fun but the images are pretty low res.
Anyway – here’s one from the iphone.
The WORKFLOW:
1) Painteresque for added details
2) Camera+ for B&W conversion, and frame
3) iPhoto for burning & dodging (the best part about this otherwise disappointing app!)
4) Sharpening in Snapseed.
