Featured Photographer Show Us Your Stuff!
We would love to see what you’re shooting! We also want to help tell the world about your awesomeness. Becoming a featured photographer is a way to get free exposure (!), share your talents with other like minded photographers and artists, AND contribute to our creative community.
It’s fast and easy and we hardly ever say “no”. Just submit the short form below and we will get back to super-quick!
We are always looking for nature and art photographers like you, who are doing really creative and inspirational things with their cameras and tools, and we want to share your success and inspiration.
Our Submission Guidelines are simple:
We want to publish your nature photographs from a shoot that inspired you. The images should be breathtaking!
Your image submission should be 6 photographs that you feel represent your best work. Images should be sent at 72 dpi 550 pixels wide, and saved using the SAVE FOR WEB option in Photoshop; or similar image compression tool in your favourite editing app. Your subject matter should deal with the great outdoors – from sunsets, macro, nature abstracts, landscapes, and can use any technique (HDR, TTV, afocal etc.). But they need to be outdoor and nature related.
We also want to know all about your images and shooting style – where it was, when – time of day – what was it about this moment that inspired you to capture the image. Share the technical aspects of your shoot, equipment you used, and any problems you had to overcome, as well as any tips you may have for your fellow photographers. Camera (manufacturer and model), lens, EXIF data if possible, and any other info you care to share that demonstrates your ability to master the light! Please add your post production work flow as well. Your tip may be eligible for inclusion in my upcoming book on creative mastery in digital art and photography. Email me if you are unsure about what EXIF data is – it’s a tremendous tool for learning how to make better photos!
So, now that you’ve spent eons in editing and submitting your WOW shots to become a Featured photographer, what happens next?
My team and I personally review every submission to make sure it’s the kind of work that is a good fit and represents you, and us in the best possible way! But in the unlikely case that we may not find it a good fit this time, don’t let this discourage you – we DO want you!!! We love looking through your submissions and are grateful that you are part of our community. We’ll try to give you some constructive feedback – depending on our schedules and the volume of submissions, so you can submit again.
Gimme Your BEST Shot Featured Photographer pages are a way for you to share your talent, creativity and (best of all) photos with the Nature Photography Community; and get more of the exposure YOU deserve.
