Become a Featured Infrared Photographer
If you’re an infrared photographer and would like to be write for us or be featured here on our site, we want to help give you more exposure (bad pun I know!). We’re looking for awesome images and wacky and interesting stories by talented infrared photographers, especially if you have used my Infrared Post Processing Photoshop Program to create your images.
So, do you want to show off a bit, AND help other infrared photographers at the same time? Its FREE and FUN! And what could be better than that!?
Submit your infrared images here (if you’re not an infrared photographer but would like to submit your nature images as a Featured Nature Photographer, visit this page)
All submissions are personally reviewed by me and my team for high quality images that inspire and add to our site visitors’ experience. We want to see your BEST shots!
Simple Submission Guidelines:
We want to publish your infrared photographs that inspired you. The images should be breathtaking!
Your image submission should be 3 photographs that you feel represent your best infrared work. Images should be sent at 72 dpi 8o0 pixels wide, and saved using the SAVE FOR WEB option in Photoshop; or similar image compression tool in your favourite editing app . Your subject matter should be astounding infrared photographs. Your equipment can be a converted IR camera, or camera using IR filters, it can be IR film, it can be any type of Infrared image as long as it is a REAL infrared photo – no regular light images, Photoshopped to look like IR.
We also want to know all about your images and shooting technique – where it was, when – time of day – what was it about this moment that inspired you to capture the image. Share the technical aspects of your shoot, equipment you used, and any problems you had to overcome, as well as any tips you may have for your fellow photographers. Camera (manufacturer and model), lens, EXIF data if possible, and any other info you care to share that demonstrates your ability to master infrared light! Please add your post production work flow as well as this is where the magic happens. Your tip may be eligible for inclusion in my upcoming book on creative mastery in digital infrared photography. Email me if you are unsure about what EXIF data is – it’s a tremendous tool for learning how to make better photos!
So, now that you’ve spent eons in editing and submitting your infrared shots to become a Featured Infrared Photographer, what happens next?
My team and I personally review every submission to make sure it’s the kind of work that is a good fit and represents you, and us in the best possible way! But in the unlikely case that we may not find it a good fit this time, don’t let this discourage you – we DO want you!!! We love looking through your submissions and are grateful that you are part of our community. We’ll try to give you some constructive feedback – depending on our schedules and the volume of submissions, so you can submit again.
So, fellow infrared artist, upload away – and let’s see what you got!!
